Water-damaged phone repair in Elmira, Ontario.
Phone dropped in water or caught in a spill? 519 Tech Services assesses liquid-damaged phones at our Elmira shop for customers across Waterloo Region. We’ll explain the available repair or data-recovery options after checking the device. Recovery is not guaranteed.
First: stop charging it.
If the device is wet, disconnect it from power if safe to do so and stop charging. If you suspect liquid got inside, switch it off if you can do so safely and don’t keep turning it on to test it. Avoid rice, heaters, hair dryers and compressed air. Contact the shop for the next step.
An assessment comes before a repair promise.
A dry outside doesn’t tell us what happened inside.
Tell us about the liquid and the timing
Was it fresh water, salt water, a drink or another liquid? When did it happen, and has the phone been charged or switched on since? Include any charging alert, screen issue, sound problem or shutdown. These details help us decide what to check.
Repair and data recovery are different goals
Tell us whether you want a usable phone, need to recover important files, or both. A damaged device may not be suitable for a reliable everyday repair even when recovery work is worth considering. We cannot promise that the phone or its data can be recovered, and a quote request does not authorize work.
Moisture alerts need context
A liquid-detection alert may relate to moisture in the charging connector or accessory; it does not by itself prove the whole phone is damaged. Follow your manufacturer’s guidance for your model. After a spill, immersion, persistent alert or new fault, ask about an assessment rather than repeatedly trying to charge it.
Before you make the trip.
Tell us what happened.
Send your exact device model, symptoms and when the problem started. Let us know about any recent drop, liquid exposure or previous repair.
Check the options.
We’ll explain the available assessment or repair options, applicable charges and a timing estimate before you approve work. Parts and the current queue affect turnaround.

Bring the device to 25 Industrial Dr., Unit 1C. If your data is the priority, tell us before any work is authorized. Data preservation or recovery cannot be guaranteed.
Questions before a repair?
Can a water-damaged phone be repaired?
Sometimes. The model, liquid, affected components and extent of damage all matter. We need to assess it before recommending repair or recovery work. Cleaning or replacing a part does not guarantee a complete or lasting recovery.
Will putting the phone in rice fix it?
No—rice is not a repair. Apple specifically advises against it because particles can damage the phone. Do not use external heat or compressed air. Check the manufacturer guidance linked below and contact us about the device’s symptoms.
Where can I bring a water-damaged phone near Kitchener or Waterloo?
Our shop is at 25 Industrial Dr., Unit 1C, Elmira, Ontario. We serve customers from Kitchener, Waterloo and across Waterloo Region at this location. Contact us before travelling to confirm the options for your exact model. There are no onsite or in-home visits.
What will assessment cost, and is liquid damage covered by warranty?
Ask us to confirm the assessment charge, proposed work and timing before you authorize service. Liquid damage is not covered by our standard retail device warranty or cracked-screen protection. Any terms offered for an approved repair will be explained separately; there is no guaranteed recovery.
